I take it you're an adult, but I've got a bad feeling about it. :(

Hope I'm wrong...

Being safe is good practice ... situational awareness when you go out to keep yourself safe.

Your work sounds like it can be stressful Grass Kitten... I hope it's not always like that for you. Are there things you like about your job?

I've been working on situational awareness, last night I was walking over there(just to grab snacks not to work), and a van almost got me in blind spot. I do love my coworkers tho. They move me to the back and remove customers when people are weird bigots towards me, we share snacks, we do holidays together, they bring me stuff when I am sick, they tell me I am pretty when I feel gross, when guys stand me up or dump me they tell me that guy was a creep anyhow, they make me take my meds, and they generally look out for me. It's a tiny family of nocturnal gas station people.

Same!

What does "gas station people" mean?

Huge thanksies to both of you, and I've found myself working graveyard shift at a gas station the last couple years. VERY long story.

Although the working environment might not be ideal at least you sound like you have people around you that care about you and are friends, more then just coworkers, and that is a huge plus. It is comforting to have people to include us and watch out for us. I'm glad you have people like that to help you out and be there for you.
