I was on a site that really should've had closed development before
No avis
No rules
No mods
I had literally the most popular threads somehow
Then mods starts getting added on
Then someone caused a shitshow in one and I told the mods to lock it
Which caused someone else to complain about the "random thread locking", only for multiple people to point out that not only was I the one to call for the lock, I had created the thread
Attempted a reboot, but with some minor rules to keep to the topic, had to lock that one before the first page was full and gave up on it because people were being butthurt
Then we got official site rules
Then more mods were added
And one of those mods decided to start giving me warnings for posts made BEFORE the rules were made
So I told that mod to fuck off, get their dick out of their ass, told the site owner that I was out publicly
That site didn't make it a year

Yeah. From the few comments I saw about that one, it changed hands shortly after I left and fell to pieces
Course, these days I stick to the ones I'm on
Here, Kingdom of Knuffel, and Flight Rising. What with a full time job and all that, I don't really have the time to explore and check out different ones
And then there's the not avi forum sites: tumblr, facebook, tapas, webtoons, the occasional uquiz, picrew on occasion

Chatting with one of my friends via insta (and occasionally posting cat pics)

Plenty going on, don't need to expand the list. Kinda bloated as it is tbh some of the apps I'm near the end on and once I'm done they'll be deleted and forgotten about

Like when he banned all mentions of not-twitter sites, he ever mentioned tumblr, which prompted them to repost with "oh."
Granted, the bots are returning too, but at least they're easy to spot and block

I swear, the older I get, the less kick I get from the internet. Possibly because my job is so closely related to it.

I avoid social media, abandoned RPing and only pop to IG to either upload art or to spam cursed cosplay content in stories during cons. I landed here because I've suddenly gotten nostalgic about my teenage years, mostly spent on forums, VampireFreaks (...lol) and DeviantART. The world has changed.

I'm an old man and I didn't need a reminder of that. Groan.

Oh man, I remember when I joined dA, it was them or pb and their lack of a content limit was what won me over. Pb had 8gb max and then you either needed a new account, deleted stuff, or paid for more space

Lmao I remember my country's social media long before FB. You could only upload 4 pictures, you had to pay if you wanted to upload more. Also, you could give people picture ratings, but you had to pay to be able to rate the highest. And god forbid someone rated you anything but the highest... Them were the times. Cringe.
