Some little red berries are poisonous so best to be sure what the plant is before eating it. :strain:

Mango soup? Is it taste sweet like a dessert?

I've had mango pudding which I really liked.
I don't even know if mango trees can grow where I live. I've never seen one.

Ya know, I used to know a little man, an elf, to be specific. He didn't tell me his name, as he'd heard telling fairies your name can be dangerous, so he told me to call him "man", or "my man", to which I agreed. He would often help me with chores, but one day he disappeared. I searched everywhere for him, high and low, but I could find neither hide nor hair. I grew discouraged, and ran out into the garden, where I shouted "where did my mango!?" And to my surprise, suddenly a mango tree grew, and I realized he had in fact told me part of his name. "Man" was the first half of his name, and only when he decided to go did I learn the second half

Oh god, mangoes. I absolutely love them and could live off them. Even my vape is mango flavoured. But the funny thing is, the first time I tried one I was 22 and it gave me a MAD allergic reaction.

Back in the day, I had a Jamaican housemate. She's nearly died laughing at my super itchy rash, repeatedly crying out "looooool you're such a white boy I can't". Groan.

We have mango trees all over the place, so it's not uncommon to just come across one during mango season.

I believe it might be a sweet-savory-spicy kind of soup? The recipe had ripe mango puree along with coconut milk and curry paste. It's a good use for all those mangoes tho!
Tho now I'm wondering if one can soup green mangoes... Mango sinigang??

RIP allergic reaction! My skin gets red and itchy if it gets into contact with the sap, and I heard some may get a reaction from the seed.

The soup sounds absolutely delightful, I'd love to try it.

Don't get me started on allergic reactions... Thankfully I'm less prone to them as I age, but boy did I have fun growing up.

I got the opposite experience: I got more sensitized >_<
Used to be, I could eat shrimp fine, but now any contact with it makes me itch like mad and actual consumption gives me some problems breathing.

Food allergies are horrible because you can get instantly sick or like Silverberry said, problems with breathing!

Silverberry, do you have to carry an epi pen around with you just in case?

No- and hopefully it won't have to reach that point! The breathing problem occurred once, resolved within an hour, and fortunately hasn't repeated yet.

Just don't let anyone use you in a water balloon fight!
