This week is supposed to be the meteor showers but it keeps fogging over at night so I can't see through the clouds! Wah!

I think today is the last day of Olympics.

Sunny in the day but cloudy at night so have not been able to check out the Persoid meteor showers, enjoying the sunshine though & the fog keeps the evenings cooler.

My boss brought in a cupcake... which was very thoughtful of them ... but sadly it wasn't all that great so I wished I had eaten the calories on something else. It looked good, just a little dry & the store bought icing which makes it oily kind of... so I know for next time.

My sister and I tried to see the meteors but after 10 minutes we went back inside

I think you have to sit out longer then that to get your eyes to adjust but I will look out our back window with all the lights off so I can see without worrying about bugs lying on me. I tried looking last night but didn't wait long enough either!

A lot has to do with how bright the lights in your area are. If you live near civilization, it's becomes progressively harder to see night sky objects. If you live near a city, you're lucky if you can see any stars!

I was up middle of the night last night looking, saw lots of stars but no meteors.
