From what I've gathered basically in the span of a shift (if that) my area went from "keeping up" to "way behind" so either something got fucked of we had orders hit all at once. Lead was grousing about it today but of the four of us on nights who did volunteer, I think he was happy to see

If i think about it I'm gonna give him shit about it. Like c'mon dude, a BBQ would've been nicer than making us come to work! he does not make the decision as to if we're mandated or not

We have someone on first who has one foot out the door cuz she keeps fucking up. Which we on second tend to end up fixing because we need that stuff to do our job or the line needs it. And another who just stopped showing and afaik that slot hasn't been refilled so there's only four on first, with the potential to drop to three. And on top of that lately he's been only having one not on the lines so first really doesn't get anything done, while on second he pretty reliably has at least three, with me and the one junior to me being the only crapshoots, especially if we're down our printers for a shift on nights cuz then I'm the one printing. If a manual line is running, I'm not in my area at all. If it's just the auto lines, depending on changeovers and other calls I may not get shit for work done. Fortunately for those days because I'm on printer duty for weekly rate calculations those days get dropped because there's a reason. Especially days where I'm out of my area way more than in

It's three in the morning here and I'll see mom later. I have a bin of gifts for her (mostly christmas cuz Rudolph, specifially Rankin-Bass) so I'll grab something from that. Pretty sure there's at least one thing that's good for not christmas

Had a mandate. Lead was working on the one machine that I'm kinda trained on and absolutely hate so I gave him a hug from behind in a way that wouldn't restrict his movement. The noise he made in response had me look at him and go "the fuck was that???" to which he went "you squeezed that out of me!" so I'm inclined to say that the sound he made surprised him too
Sounded like he'd gotten a lil bit excited
And then we both griped about that machine cuz it was giving him shit because it's old and not very well made, so it's super finicky
Few minutes later he was showing a different coworker the temperature gauge they added to a different one, and since I'm trained on that one I went over. She realized once he was done and smacked my ass so I smacked hers in return (this is very normal for us) so lead and one of my first shift male coworkers ended up bantering. Mostly M!coworker joking that lead would like that, only for lead to say he doesn't. Not that I could find out cuz at that point lead was at his desk and sitting lol
And then he couldn't find job orders cuz they were on his desk. There's a reason I describe him as a scatterbrain variant dumbass
Later turned out my last one hadn't even been released so I had to find the superintendent to get it released so I could job in. Supervisor is currently covering first shift so that's a day or two without her
QC was all over the place, he has a step goal of 15k that he can hit on a ten but mandates are eight and last I heard he'd just hit 10k with 2-3 hours to go

We had a machine set itself on fire yesterday. Sadly no fire alarm

Woah! I guess it was put out pretty quickly. Fire extinguishers? Since no alarm, I guess the sprinklers didn't go off. Glad it was handled quickly and safely!

Yeah it was. Had one mechanic at the controls of said machine confused as to why he suddenly had people yelling to him and pointing cuz the fire was right where he couldn't see it but once he realized he hit the e-stop right quick and they took care of it
This was with the third shift supervisor. Next day I told the second shift supervisor about it and that I totally didn't take a picture as I'm pulling out my phone to show her. She called me a liar and show her. She did ask about the alarms and I told her that sadly, no, they did not LOL

Hopefully it will be investigated so it doesn't happen again.

Naw it did it again. Same machine. They really should fix it tho, cuz last time they had it actually up and running they didn't have that problem
They had different non-fire problems but it was the first one that was an auto-trimmer so trial and error was in effect instead
