Having Friday off for the holiday has me all mixed up. I keep thinking I'm back to work either tomorrow or on a couple days a day it's only Saturday

How's the house renovations going?

Nah, just saying hi, pet me. Very lazily cuz hot out

Turns out there was no weatherproofing so instead of 16k they're dropping 25k cuz of water damage

I must have missed the renovation news. Water damage is terrible. Once you start looking it's crazy how far water goes...

That's almost double! Perhaps that's the price after they found out how far things have gone?

Yeah, the water damage they found is why the price jumped

When they got the roof redone, the subcontracted group was a bunch of idiots that caused a ton of water damage cuz they didn't cover the roof, dad had to do it. The main contractor was livid, as was the subcontractor the dolts worked for. Mom n dad didn't have to pay for the damages caused by that, and the main contractor is lucky my parents know him already cuz they were good with the wall repairs n such that ended up happening as a result and didnt flip their shit. And yes the subcontractor did end up terminating that particular group. Can't remember if they all got canned or split up into other groups to be properly trained tho

The roof thing happened last year, so it's long done

By the looks of it, the porch itself is more or less done

It seems like there is always work to be done on a house ... just when one thing gets finished another issue arises.
