wheel of time is set in another time/ dimension where there is magic & people are searching for the dragon reborn & the group helping the dragon reborn person have to go through different trials. Time is like a wheel & the cycle comes around, so there is fate in a sense but not everyone understand their fates.

hmmm I think I will have to revise that answer because now that I read it , it doesn't make as much sense .
