I've met someone 7 feet but never anyone taller then that. He'd have to stoop to get through the door. His head would be close to the ceiling!

I did see a basketball player in the news recently that was over 7 feet, everyone looked puny next to him.

Dad has a coworker who is six foot eight, and another who is five foot one, and the two work together a lot
The senior printer here is somewhere in the four foot range, she doesn't quite make it to my shoulders in height

Do they also have 7 legs or are their feet connected to each other?

What I found interesting is when I visit really old buildings (colonial and before) and how low the door heights are. People were smaller all around back then.

Good thing you have your fireplace at home ! You can "camp" cook on it if the power stays off.

Oh, I hate when the power goes off! Yep, you're good for heat. You can probably charge your phone from your car if you've got an adapter. Hope the power comes back on soon for you!

Work didn't lose power, stovetop uses propane so I still have that for cooking, have a battery pack

oh nice! That is smart to have gas appliances for those days power goes off.

Seven or eight hours
Thankfully between the battery powered lights, my phone flashlight, and the actual flashlight that dad refers to as my portable/miniature sun, I wasn't in the dark, and got wood up
Thank fuck for the fireplace, Doink and I bounced between there and on the couch under a blanket

Glad the power outage wasn't all day ... or for days .

I'm better with power out at night while I am sleeping because I can just bury my head in the blankets if it is cold out.

Except when the UPS starts beeping! Can't sleep through that!

Kit did they ever let anyone know what caused the power outage?

Chances are good it was wires being snapped by branches and/or wind breaking them
