It's supposed to be one of those "here's a bunch of seeds, here's how they grow, etc etc etc" things but according to mom the person running the event spent more time having them praise the seeds than anything else

Seriously, just FYI, we only goof around about page counts. It's really not a contest. You get feathers for posting in threads (of course some forums get more than others--I think it's listed in the FAQ's too) no matter who started it. Members are free to post where ever and on their own schedules. Most Winners post infrequently although we have a few more regular than most other Winners (basically check in once a day if that). I try to visit everyday and for the most part if I'm successful. Unfortunately I'm juggling more balls that usual IRL right now, but I try and see you guys here on Windlyn every day! Winners are fam to me!

If you put the link to your chat in your Avatar's signature, people can find your thread more easily & it should encourage them to come post.

I know my unread posts get bogged down & sometimes I find it difficult to find some of the hangouts - and sometimes I am too lazy to have to go to forums page to figure it out. I tend to post on what pops up when looking at unread posts. If you respond on your thread people should respond.

Kitalpha Hart has the oldest hangout maybe? So it was fun trying to "boost" the count page up when she was doing her annual count she does.

Wings of love, maybe try your own theme to draw people over or invite others to participate. I do a welcome thread & give newcomers a gift.
