Hello, so sorry I've been absent again. I'm back at school and I have little to no time to myself. I got a boyfriend now and his name is Reggie. We've been seeing each other about once a week. I have surgery for my thyroid in a few weeks. It's on the 24th. Reggie said he'd take care of me. The kids and cat love him. That's a good sign. I don't say this about other exes but Trashley was psycho and my kids hated her from the start and Kimchi even hissed at her several times. So, seeing the kids love him and the cat kissing him is a relatively huge sigh of relief.
Also, I broke my hand on the ice, so if I type weird going forward, my apologis. It's hard to type in a cast.

If the cat likes someone that's a big sign & of course the kids HAVE to approve for everyone's sanity.

That's a good question. I assume I'll be able to still have the surgery but I need to still call my doctor today and ask him if it's still a go. I hope it wont be delayed, especially because it's a cancer surgery but we'll see.
Yeah, seeing my cat my boyfriend and the kids loving him is a huge relief. Just got off the bus to school and the driver was extremely rude to me because I wanted to use the front door to exit the bus because the back door was blocked by a snowbank, I am not only disabled but my hand is busted, if I fell, I could have hurt my hand even more. But sure bro, be a jerk about it.

Phew, so I called and they said that unless anything changes with my hand (aka it gets worse or I need meds or a procedure for it) I am set to go for surgery.

Love is the greatest emotion. It is a wonderful feeling. Since breaking up with Trashley, I thought love was something that everyone but me was destined for. I'm currently in therapy to deal with the trauma she caused me so that it doesn't spill over into my relationship with Reggie.
Also, I did one of those personality type quizzes because I was curious. I tend to believe them to be pseudoscience but I got INFP and it's actually pretty accurate lol

Shamus: When I ride a bus I always smile when I get on & thank them when I get off ... but sadly some of them just hate their job & pleasantries don't even phase them.

Better to have friends for socialization & not jump into bad relationships just to "have someone", as you have found out it seems. I hope the kids were not too traumatized from the previous relationship?

Npix, love indeed is a powerful emotion & but sometimes infatuation stage of a new relationship makes us think it is love. The strength of character in a person eventually will show through & love from that relationship, an enduring love, is indeed very powerful.

It’s not that I settled or jumped into anything. It’s that she’s a narcissist and she was charming in the beginning and love bombed me. I believed that I was getting into a relationship with a good person but halfway through, her whole demeanor changed towards me. But I guess I was the only one enchanted by her superficial charm.

Glad things are headed in the right direction. The important thing is we learn from our pain. I know way too many who keep getting back in to the same bad relationship dynamic over and over and over...

I read an intesting study on love a couple of days ago about how the chemicals in our brain change as our relationship goes on/evolves. (From heartflutters at the begining to--too many to list.) What is I guess not surprising how much of our view of the world (which affects every aspect of how we live) is influenced by these chemicals and ratios. Bask!
