Yeah, I've heard it's bad some areas
Over here it's mostly just really cold, not windy and snowy

Yeah, mostly been obsessively playing Coral Island so I haven't really paid much attention here.

I have the week off. Might get my hair done.

I missed one day of work because my car was iced in. My dad had to help get my car unstuck so I could go to work. They called off that Monday but we had to work Saturday to make up for it. I'm so sick of seeing the ice and snow. Thank goodness it was in the 70's today and nearly all the ice in the parking lot is gone so I should have an easier time finding a parking spot. I made one up last night because the only available ones were still icy.

I shudder to think of having to drive on ice.

Yeah, ice is not easy... then again I'm watching the ice sports in the olympics and it just makes it more obvious how hard ice is for people, yet these sports trive in it. Kind of like "make lemonade when life gives you lemons" (make ice sports when the weather gives you ice!).

Soooo, that $100 that triggered my bank to ask me if I authorized that transaction, wasnt from someone getting ky card info.... There's a $100 hold the gas station puts on your card if you pay at the pump and that's what triggered it. I found out when I got gas again (at a different gas station) and got a notification about someone trying to take $100 out of my account as I was pumping gas. I looked into it cuz it seemed real fishy for it to happen a second time for the same amount of money.


This never happened to my old card so it threw me off.

That sounds a lot of gas! Been driving a lot lately?

(Although $100 is not a lot of gas here in California... I believe it's a lot cheaper everywhere else... how much is a gallon by you?)

Oh how weird, I have never heard of that before ... is it a debit card? i don't use debit cards so I don't know much about them.

Do they want you to actually go in to see the attendant and not pay at the pump? Would that make a difference & not put a hold on?

Good though that you are checking it out because the gas station seems to be where most skimming of cards occurs. But I would still keep an eye on your statements the next few months to make sure there aren't any unknown charges. Often thief's will put a small charge amount on to see if it passes & then do a large expense.
