Juliette’s Whimsical Grove

Postby Juliette » Wed Feb 18, 2026 11:51 pm

Hi this is my hangout! ^_^ And as I love poetry, I wrote this piece a few years ago when I was dealing with a lot of pain and it fits the theme:

Hope of the Earth

Step out into the earth with bare feet
Feel the vibrant grass and flowers between your toes
Looking out at the lake, birds flit across the sky
Skipping stones, reverberating sounds
Indents in the clear crystalline water
Stars overhead twinkling in the sky
An explosion of breathtaking northern lights
Glitter across the sky
Transportation to an otherworldly universe
Constellations dotted in the brightly vivid
canvas of the sky
The music of nature sings, filling with such
beauty and grace
The moon shines brightly with such
beauty and grace
The day is restarted, renewing a soul
With more chances, more joy, more gratitude
More hope
More happiness

:)

I could imagine many of these moments in your poem & also remember some of the experiences described vividly.

I am sorry you were in pain when you wrote it but how wonderful you could see loveliness through the pain.

Your poem reminds me of the many things we can be thankful for and the amazing beauty & mysteries that are all around us ... and even beyond us.

I've never really understood poetry and have always struggled with language arts, but as Gingerale said, I could envision the scenes you were describing.

Thank you everyone - I genuinely wasn’t expecting this kind of feedback that I feel like crying. It means a lot to me that my poetry can move people this way. ><

Someone said that tears are sometimes the over abundance of love with no where to go.

I liked your poem. Do you like sci-fi?

Juliette: Thank you for being brave enough to share.

Even the avatar name you chose is poetic.

(And don't be fooled by Monkeygirl's fake horse!!! It seems like some tradition people have carried on since the first seeking event, so is an on going joke. If you clicked on it then welcome to the practical joke!).

yup, me too & then I remembered (but even still I have to catch myself).

I had a small salad to eat but I am still hungry. I do have food to warm up but just don't feel like eating it because I have been eating the same thing for the past few days. I wish I had a replicator & could create food I wanted instantly, like on Star Trek.

I'm out of my "go to food" until I go shopping.

Do you cook for yourself or do you get to have someone cook for you?
