Do you intend to use your new rig for gaming? Do you plan on building yourself of customizing a system from a builder?

Yay! Welcome back! Yes, this is an excellent place for that.

I want to use it for 3D art, but that's a lot of the same specs as gaming, so both? I do like both.

I'm planning on going to Micro Center and telling them what I want, and listening to their advice. They'll build it for me, if it's cheaper. I haven't had any bad results from them, yet. Unrelated, it's also the first place I got freeze-dried ice cream!

Are there any specific 3D programs you're using or high compute games you're playing? Things like VRAM and cores might matter.

nVidia GPU's tend to like Intel CPU's better and vice versa, but that line has been blurring.

Yes, actually. I'm going to be using Blender 3D and Plasticity, primarily, but I'm hoping to see if I can get a good price on Substance Painter and ZBrush. As for games, maybe Once Human?
