Google search, believe it or not. Someone was saying how it looked similar to another site that doesn't exist anymore, but I don't really recall which one? Syndrone, I think...? I don't really remember, now. So, I came and looked, and saw there was recent dev activity, unlike so many other sites I've run into on my quest.
Now, I'm not saying at all that it means those sites are dead, but it just doesn't look like they care about having a user-facing experience. That just sort of concerns me, especially after I read about some nefarious shysters buying out little sites and running them the rest of the way into the ground while bleeding them out. Possibly horror stories, but since it's not impossible, I was cautious.
Then I saw the beautiful art style here. Now, I don't hate pixel art, but it just doesn't grab me at this size like this style does. I prefer pixel art on very tiny things--this is with the knowledge in mind that larger still works out if you know what you're doing, but so much of the sites I was coming across just quite frankly looked... well, like crap. I don't mean a style I'm not into, I mean like zero effort, slap-something-up-there-they'll-take-what-we-give-them low effort and lower quality drivel. It really hurts my heart to see, and know that people think that's the best an avatar forum community can offer.
And, you know, I can't blame them, considering I was searching months and didn't find anything until I found you fine folks. I'm sure more are out there, but... It's so exhausting trying to find places like this.

Which, I'm having trouble finding the posting rules, because I keep forgetting what they are. Do I need to wait two hours to doublepost just in my sketchbook? It doesn't usually take that long to doodle up something, but I don't want to be scofflaw.

I think double posting is discouraged in conversational or game threads but if you are posting your own work I think there isn't an issue? (You just don't get points for double posting).

You also can edit the posts and add more images into the post as some member's have.

You can also put images or long posts into "spoilers".

Hmmm. I want them in separate posts to make discussions easier. But I think I will also group them up on the front page! I'm somewhat concerned about post size limitations, though. Do you know any?

To make it easier for other people's devices I would recommend putting large posts in a spoiler.

Well, you can have many formatted things inside other things, like this statement is bold inside of italics. Spoilers don't like to be inside of other spoilers, so I can't have different spoilers for separate days inside of a spoiler for a month.

You can't, unless I'm somehow doing it wrong (absolutely being serious). I'm sure it makes sense under the hood, but I'm not that well-educated about it.

When I have a little more time I'll see if I can make it work... I would think it would somehow be possible?

I really know the bare basics for programming so not sure how to do all the fancy stuff.
I have a difficult time getting my item images posted & organized... hence the disarray in my threads.
I know I need to organize them but it seems overwhelming to me.

I have found it's easier to first make the containers, and then fill them up. In this case, the categories. They're already sorted for you in your inventory, and you can change the sorting method to quantity, so you don't have to look through everything. I include the name next to the item so I can tell what image information I need to alter. A little work at the start saves me miles down the road.

It occurs to me that if the sakura petals were bluish, they could look like seafoam or bubbles.

We have a bluish snow storm item, marigold petals, feather rain & fall leaves as well that are very similar to the cherry blossoms.
