Thanks, Kit! Being methodical and not in rush sure helped--but there's always the unknown unknowns that can always throw a wrench into the works.

I'm glad it's done. We should be good for a good number of years. The last server cranked along for more than a decade. Other than a couple of hardware failures along the way (drives, power supply--expendables) it was still quietly keeping us running. The AI thing was starting to tax its abilities.

Also I'm back on nights again, but this time we have no idea how long it'll stick. Original projection was November, but we might be done next week, it may stay permanent. No one knows

Unfortunately AI will kill people eventually. It's inevitable. My bet is it has already (bad advise +/- human stupidity). Sci-fi movies and books are warnings.

Isn't part of management being able to plan for materials and resources based on market history and projections (forecast)?

It has killed. Multiple people have sued over it

All I know is that I'm the printer so that pay adjustment plus shift differential so my income got a boost

So according to my supervisor, the original plan was one week
Considering the last time was supposed to be three and became six for my coworker and eight for me, I'm really not surprised at it going longer
Though if it becomes permanent I want a second printer with me

boost in pay is good but not knowing how long your work schedule will last is frustrating I would think

Oh, it's driving the supervisor nuts, especially since right now, of the two mechanics we have, the one who knows what he's doing got hurt a couple days ago and is currently on restrictions and has a cane, and the other isn't fully trained so sometimes the poor guys is clueless

If we go permanent I will, because then we're likely looking at a full shift getting buil, though at that point I imagine those who used to be on nights they'll see if they want to go back, since full crew

Got some sort of wasp building a nest, not ball hornets thankfully, took them a month or so to get their current size, which is still slightly smaller than what the ball hornets did overnight some years ago. But said nest is well out of the way and they haven't been bothering anyone, so I'm just watching

poor Doink, maybe the opossum wants to be his friend. Is that even possible?

They're generally nocturnal, yes, but at the same time don't need a wild animal in my house
So two possums and a raccoon have wanted in so far

Poor Doink. Was giving my love and attention from my bedside table and leaned too far forward, so she fell off. Thankfully between it being right next to my bed and my arm being right there, she didn't get hurt, except in pride

I've seen vid results of coons let loose in a kitchen. They were able to open jars of peanut butter and made a incredible mess. They're terrible house guests!
