Dropped about 1k today
Definitely would've hit that if it wasn't for mom's employee discount at Michael's
Dropped me from nearly $800 down to $541.52
Got a buncha flowers to weave into the upstairs railings, and a bunch of charms for my friend to make us friendship bracelets. Finally
At Target we crossed paths with an old teacher of ours. He always remembers her name but never mine, which is hilarious (he's also been teaching for 29 years)

That will be pretty, what kind of flowers did you get? I am assuming a vine type of some kind.

Hmmm I wonder if any of my old Teachers would remember my name? They see so many kids that it amazes me when they do remember students from way back. I don't even recall all the names of the kid's in my classes, even when I look at the class pictures ... at least year books give the names.

I got a lot. They're all cloth, but there's some lilies, a lot of cherry blossoms, some long droopy ones, and others I don't recognize
And in all sorts of colors

Wisteria is really pretty as a hanging plant. They kind of look droopy, maybe it is something like that. I am imaging how pretty it is going to look on the stairwell.

I am trying to Barbeque today, sunny day, feels like early summer.

I won't be doing all of the railing, just where using it to hold onto isn't needed

Dad came by, took some more stuff over
At the same time he vented about how he's been telling mom to get her shit out of my house but every time my brother makes last second plans, those take precedence over the months-long nagging. And he does this just about every week
Hell, they've got stuff there she said she'd sort through that's still in boxes 4 months later
And considering the fact that I'm waiting on mom to get her shit out so I can get into what I want to do all the way, he knows that her coddling my brother is just holding me back

At least you know your Dad gets it.

Not sure how you can fix the Mom issue without renting a storage container.
Can your brother help her move the stuff?

I tend to be a pack rat, I hate to throw anything out because I feel like someday I might be able to use it ... or sell it.

He does. He's been working on his stuff, I believe he's got everything, or nearly so, at this point

Pfft. He's got his own shit going on, plus three kids under 10 to take care of. He doesn't have time, and my house is not kid-proofed

Running 12s all next week. Not the entire department, just my area
On the plus side I should be seeing my lead daily cuz he also got hit with the 12s and so I can theoretically have a few minutes to ~~annoy him~~ ask him why they got him.one of those standing desk thingies instead of fixing either of his chairs. The wobbly one is still wobbling and the other one the screws flat put broke

The big show stopper stuff replaced. The rest will come back in spurts as time permits.

Still not looking forward to next week tho. We all agree that we're gonna be wrecked by the end of the week, if not sooner

Unfortunately, it'll happen again--all hardware fails eventually. We can only minimize the issues that come from them. We learned a few things and changing strategies in preparation for the next ones.

Just keep telling yourselves it'll feel better when it's over!
