So company shindig was today/yesterday
Local politicians made speeches
Current gen (4th) owner made speech
People didn't immediately recognize me. Too used to casual, I showed up in a dress
+1 was a friend who used to work here. Watching and seeing who said hi, who went and embraced her, and who swerved to avoid her was HILARIOUS
Won the centerpiece at the table we ended up at, which was a custom screen sprayer that's no good for anything outside a vase. Nowhere to attach a hose or anything. No biggie
One guy in full casual amongst all the dressed up
Only saw three others from my shift, and maybe ten total that I recognized
Company logo everywhere
People corralling us as we came in
Nametags. Via magnets. Very cool
Fancy token with a 1k gambling token as well. I don't gamble so kept mine. Friend gave hers away to a supervisor (one of the ones happy to see her)

Sounds like a lot of people but you enjoyed it.

Maybe they used defect equipment for the centerpieces, hahaha <more likely they probably spent extra money to have them specifically designed>
What kind of flowers were in the centerpiece?

Though dad did have a lil fan that was powerful enough to cool a room. As in he'd have it pointing down the long way of his bedroom and stuff in a whole circle would be reacting to it powerful

Contract meeting today
Company wants a one year extension. With a $1.50/hour across the board raise
New CEO, losing a customer, and other changes that have happened has multiple people certain the company is faltering and will shortly close after the Missus passes
Did call my lead a grumpybutt though. And said, to myself, "and we still aren't getting shit" in a quiet spit and people agreed

I get less than 50 cents hour raise each time, cost of living I think they call it.

As good as it may sound, with rate of inflation $1.50 won't last long unfortunately.

Not good that company may close ?? If that is a possibility that will influence decisions & prevent them from maybe making needed updates etc. Not good for all those employed there.

Dad says that if that were the case, the new CEO wouldn't be here. Most people just see changes as all bad

Moved the one spare bed into the eventual guest room
Cleaned up my room enough to move my desk into the craft room
Now to finish cleaning up my room (aka shove a lot of the stuff into the craft room temporarily) so I can get the dresser in there. The dresser will be going up stairs so definitely gonna need help with that
I might move the cedar chest into the crafts room too. Hmm

You can probably do a display case there at some point to show all your collectibles.

Ya, although you can move the dresser drawers yourself, probably best you don't attempt to move the dresser itself upstairs by yourself. I am sure someone would be happy to come & help.
