Makes sense
Also had a mandate today
Had a lot of connected shenanigans
First, my one coworker who had one hell of a week last week (left early Wednesday because his kid fell off the bed and cracked their head open so he had to watch the other kid as his wife took the hurt one to the hospital. Three stitches. And then forgot to take his seizure meds on Friday and had one at work so left early via ambulance) was looking for the head of HR because he was acting as supervisor and couldn't find him
I'm at my locker, changing to my work boots, but before he got up to me, my lead ended up intercepting and pointing the guy to the super's cube
After he left, my lead made a comment about the guy being lost and not finding anything to me in a rather condescending tone and look on his face. I looked at him and went "it's his second week," which had an awkward look and an "oh" that was also a very different tone. Then he went into the print shop
I finished changing into my work boots and went into the break room because too early by a couple minutes to head out to see where I was that day. Not a line, just my area overall mandated. Lead comes in with a reel of stickers, puts it on the counter, and then leaves out the other door for the bathrooms
Then it was time to see where I was assigned. Naturally, I grabbed the reel as well, and left before he was out. Kekeke
Put it on his desk, saw that first was still on the board, talked to the new QC for a bit to pass the time for lead to come over and change the board from first to second
As he's doing so, I go over and give him a hug. He asks me where the sticker are. "On your desk." Because while I'm sure I could've put them somewhere else, nah. So, in a tone that was very much not serious, he says "I'm gonna kick you in the ass," to which I'm a neutral "okay."
So he goes "I said kick you in the ass, not lick you in the ass." To which I repeat the neutral okay, and he starts laughing before telling me I'm in the corner
I have anxiety. Like I've been diagnosed with GAD have it. So naturally, I normally overthink shit I've said. Rarely I overthink what someone else said
Brain got stuck on why he thought I heard lick and not kick the first time like ????????????????
I ultimately have two conclusions
The second one, the less likely: he had anxiety and thought I misheard or something. Considering how he normally is, this one's unlikely. Also, it came about as a result of overthinking the overthinking
The first one: he thought I misheard because it's something he would've misheard cuz he's into that. This one others agree with
SIR. THE FUCK. I do not need to know that about you
