I am trying to figure out my taxes and looks like I will be paying...wahhhhh ...where do people come up with all these deductions? I can't ever come up with more then what the standard is. Why don't they just charge our income tax like a states tax when we buy something and leave it at that. I hate doing taxes!!!! (But I hate to pay someone money to tell me I have to pay money as well).

I think it's cause some people get money back. Hm usually for us we get back $10~20 maybe a little more. My boyfriend has had to pay a small amount before but nothing much.

Yeah, but trading a need for another need would be helpful in some cases. I remember one website where you could offer your services in exchange for another service from other people. It was an interesting concept.

Money was created for convenience and by the necessity of all of the things everyone has mentioned so far.
I don't think the concept of money is what bothers people nor the economics behind it (for example there are necessary jobs that people don't want to do, unable to do or are dangerous, so they are worth more). For me, it's the greed that skews the systems that bothers me.

It just bothers me that bills are so ridiculously high, while I have to work a lot just to live paycheck to paycheck to have enough for the bills and bare necessities.
