Where i am? Yeah we've had a bit in the last week but it's spring now!
I'm not sure how the places affected by the drought are..

I know! Luckily my friend didn't live near where it hit.. I'm yet to send an email asking how she is though.

We had a sport's carnival at my school last week. I didn't participate but i had fun with my friends. It's a good thing we had good weather because the school said it was going ahead rain or not.

How's the weather where you are?

Someone told me that the smoke from the California fires traveled on the jet stream and reached New York!

I don't know how far apart California and New York are but either way that still seems pretty horrible

It's about 3000 miles from CA to NY. Once anything gets into the jet stream it can travel across that kind of distance in a several hours (average speed is 110mph and max 250mph).

There's a new problem over here now
People putting sewing needles in strawberries
It's not sure at what stage people are putting them in but they've ruled out farms and now processing factories are using metal detectors before they get sent to stores.
At first it was just over east but now they've been finding them near where i live so it's all over Australia
