The dinner:
I showed up on time
A cousin was about twenty minutes late
My brother basically missed it
I wasn't awake enough so I only managed one plate. Barely
Then I hid in my parents room with their cats while a dog was on the loose cuz cousin's hubby cannot leave the dog behind anywhere
Then talking with another cousin about borrowing a table of his until I can either find one or have dad make one for my fairy garden. Which yes
Went to garage. Swapped empty green bin with full one
Came back in
More cat time
Back out, this time with dad and cousin to see if table would fit in dad's SUV
Sideways, yes
Then heard brother return with his three kids. Reaction? Shut up, turn off lights, and hide
Went home
Table in place
And then dad almost forgot his mop n bucket

All in all, was okay. Even without littles there still too much peopling

They're very rambunctious and considering i took a four hour nap, I didn't have the energy for them

So every year we buy sweet corn from farmers and husk and freeze it. The rule is we cannot use the new stuff until first snow
The one year it had to be amended with "that aticks" because the one year we had a flurry the next day and little me tried to say that it was snow so we could use the new corn ahahahahaha

I can and will eat the corn by itself
Fortunately I generally have something to go with it. Mashed potatoes. Gravy. Maybe a roll. Meat

Well, got dad to stay a lot longer than he had planned on. Four windows need plastic because they are massive heat sinks (the others have curtains, in fact the big picture window has curtains and storms so it's doubly blocked), so they're covered now. Just need to heat the plastic so it tightens up but that's not as important. Also had him change out the toilet seat cuz it was massively overdue so now I have a fresh one. Still need the unit changed out and the flooring around it replaced tho. The last major heat sink I can and did easily fix is a small blanket at the foot of the front door. Got a fan to help distribute heat from the fireplace and I still have the nice one from my friend to help as well. All this, I think, will really help keep the house warm
