Hey JinMay!

How did Valentine's day go? Did your cute presents bring a smile to his face?

How is the family feeling now? Did you manage not to get sick?

Lemon hello!

Ah yes, he was very very happy. Haha. It made me feel good to see that he really enjoyed the gifts.

My brother is healthy again, I just got a sore throat today though. Probably from how cold it is. But yeah, no I didn't get sick when he was sick. My parents are alright. My dad has an appointment tomorrow and his sister is taking him since it's pretty far I think.

Oh course he would like anything coming from you!

Sore throat is how the covid is going around here but it might be something else, just take it easy today & take your vitamins so your body can clear whatever it is.

Of course he wasted no time in opening the bag of chocolates. lol He did share though which was adorable.
He got me a pretty mug and some hot chocolate and snicker-doodles which I've never had before. They were so good! o: Then we went to his place for a few days. He bought me a pokemon plushie, and a spyxfamily figurine. On top of dinner and lunch. I honestly feel bad that he bought me so many things. Oh and pokemon card packs.... so many of those. A tin filled with some too. :(

Yeah I'll be taking medicine, I promise. I should probably wear a mask just in case.

JinMay, let him treat you! It obviously brings him happiness as does your finding things for him does you.

Snicker-doodles are good, I think it is the cinnamon sprinkled on top.

Lots of viruses going around since it is winter here so just make sure you wash your hands a lot & don't eat or rub your face with dirty hands. The fact you managed to stay healthy while your brother was sick is good but now you went to another area & might have picked up some germs there. But our body's immune system is meant to deal with it just help the body by drinking fluids & getting rest.

I know, and I do. I just don't.. I don't umm expect it I guess? Like, it's not my priority. I don't want him feeling like he has to.

They really are. I'll have to buy myself some sometime to snack on. Haha.

Oh gosh you're right! I honestly didn't even think of that. Thank goodness I have hand sanitizer too. I have been using that every time I wash my hands. Just to be extra safe.

snickerdoodles are very easy to make! You can bake some for him sometime, I am sure he will be surprised! Or bake some for your family to try.

We had a gust of wind blowing through so storm might be on its way ... which if power goes out means no internet! :strain:

Ooh I haven't ever baked cookies before but I'd totally be open to trying! Especially something that's on the easy side for starters. I think it would be fun and it would definitely be a surprise if I don't burn them. :cheer:

Oh no! Fingers crossed that you are safe if the storm does hit. No internet is never fun but just stay safe. We'll be here when you are able to get power back if you do lose it. :distress:

Hi, JinMay!

You might start with something like this (pre-made dough).
https://www.pillsbury.com/products/cookies

Then you graduate to the box cookie mixes. From there any recipe should be a snap!

Thanks for the tip galled!

Now, would any pre-made dough work for a snicker-doodle cookie? Looking at the options, I'm thinking the sugar cookie one would be the best option maybe?

cookies are so easy to make "from scratch".

Soften the butter (or margarine) by leaving on the counter.
With a spoon spread it around in the mixing bowl ( if you don't have hand strength then use a mixer).
Add the sugar & spread it around.

Most recipes give you instructions & the order of ingredients is generally the order you put them in. you can google for recipes & look at the reviews. Save the recipe if you find one you like.

A basic cookie recipe can be made into a variety of cookies. Add chocolate chips, nuts, cinnamon, an extract flavor of your choice ( for example chocolate chips, cocoa & peppermint extract make a good combo). Or leave plain as a sugar cookie. You can make some cookies with no eggs.

Always choose the lower baking time & then watch every minute after that. Using a timer is recommended. I tend to burn them if I don't since I get distracted!

I've even cooked cookies in a toaster oven.

Good luck! Let us know how they turn out!

Ahhh thanks you both! I will definitely want to give this a try. All I've ever baked were box mix cakes and cupcakes. But if I can manage to bake cookies, I'd certainly share some with the boyfriend. :cheer:
