We don't have great Asian food places like they do in the cities but we at least have some.
Time to try out your own recipes? I have a simple but delicious one for wonton soup broth if you want it- I actually got it from someone else. (I don't make the wontons because I don't like them). And our local stores do carry potstickers so I pan fry those but they can be added to the broth instead of wontons.
Yeah to get to the Not Chain stuff in regards to anything ethnic we need to drive for an hour Like the place my friend and I went to thinking Japanese steakhouse and it was hibachi. Great eating. Expensive tho
Chinese food tends to be less expensive them Japanese.
For Japanese broth I like to get the miso in the small tubs. I can freeze it after I open it & mix a tablespoon in a mug with hot water for a soothing drink, especially when I am sick. Fortunately our grocery stores carry it in the international section but I think it can be ordered online. If you haven't tied it I recommend it. You can add tofu & stuff to it if you wanted. I like soups.
90% of the exotic aisle stuff is Italian stuff, the other 10% being Stuff in Spanish If there even is an exotic aisle Ramen is with the soup and it's starting to have something other than the Dirt Cheap stuff but that is single serve more expensive ramen

Hanging small lights near the ceiling along the door frames works to change the atmosphere for sure.
Christmas tree is gone. My poor poinsettia plant has died. Well, it was fun while it thrived. Maybe it was the glitter on it that killed it? <or my lack of watering>.
I don't always think of the pot being bad for the plant.
I keep my orchids in the pots they come in & they seem to rebloom if I am careful to let them get enough south facing sun in a day. if they get too cold or are overwatered they die pretty quickly.
