Had a mandate today, only eight hours so was able to talk to my lead for a bit
He hates it too ahahahaha
Got 1200 done today but we're pretty sure when I had to replace the reel it somehow ended up threaded wrong. Oh well
Should've gotten at least 2100

Too bad there isn't an alert system for your reel that warns you when it isn't threaded correctly.

Working past 8 hours seems counter productive as our bodies seem to get sluggish after that.

The eights suck because we have to be in two hours earlier
We're out four hours earlier but at that point just about everything is closed anyway so the only difference is more traffic

I got stuck in my driveway
Then I got stuck getting back in
Dad told me it was because I was where I'd gotten stuck earlier, so he'd get the car up
Car slid back into that spot like it had for me LOL
Gonna have to get up early tomorrow so I can plow it out. Again. And hope like hell I don't get stuck. Again. Took an hour to get out last time

"Plow" sounds like snow. "Slid" sounds like ice? What do you do for ice?

Slid, no ice. Just snow so packed you're off the ground

Yup. And north/south so winds drift it over real easy

Plowed again today. Right as I was putting the thrower back in the garage the wind kicked up, undoing what I had done and then some. Ended up calling dad to punch through with his and then get the car out. Then I couldn't go my regular route down back roads cuz the one was blocked off so I was stuck behind two school busses which meant stopping at train tracks and I hit just about every single red light. Still on time by the clock but for me I was very late

Yeah the drive home was worse
Nighttime
Winds kicking
Snow falling
Whiteouts (thankfully only really hitting when I was on a back road)
Got home safe. Took half an hour and the car is stuck at the end of the driveway, but it's in the driveway so a plow won't slam it

So apparently the state governor decided to have the first day of CNY as a holiday
Ma'am unless you're gonna give the whole two weeks off it gives "trying to compensate for racism in the smallest way possible"
According to dad people are saying that it's a law...despite it not going through legislation, so, uh

It's not a law. Just a governor decree or whatever the proper term is. Like an executive order it's not a law, it's a president wants
