Oof it's painful
Gives a lot of context to the original Hunger Games trilogy, and references Ballad events very well too

Only saw the first movie myself, didn't like how much stuff got changed cuz from my point of view, the movie was about the first book and they pulled from the second. Some stuff, stuff Katniss doesn't know about, I can agree with. Some stuff, like her dress going from made of (fake?) jewels I understand. Capitol fashions being changed? Absolutely understandable, doing CGI editing can be really bad when handled poorly

Katniss going from brown (olive skin) to white is debatable, especially if the rumors i heard about the auditions being "white person only" back then were true. Ick if yes, less ick if no. Actress did the character well though

Other stuff, not so much. Capitol: candy colors, too bright to look at in the books. Grey monoliths in the movie. Cornucopia in the book: golden, woven, looks like an actual one. Cornucopia in the movie: grey monolith. Ugly

It has been so long since I read or watched the movies I don't recall ... but I do remember being disappointed with the movies.

I heard the East coast is getting a partial solar eclipse tomorrow (Saturday) but also an ice storm.

Unlikely. There's been a fanbase wanting it for many years now, and I work nights so depending on when next year it releases, I may not be able to try and get it for some days
