Some people swear by fighting allergies/hay fever by eating local honey...can't say I have tried it. I generally buy the honey the store's carry and I don't think it is local.

I should say, I have tried local honey but not for long enough for it to affect the allergies... and fresh honey is so delicious and the beeswax with honey is fun to chew. But here local honey is pricey.
