I have had to catch myself falling more than a few times on slippery leaves, not a fun experience.. a good way to wrench the back or sprain an ankle.

Fortunately for me, the way the wind blows, the leaves i get to walk over are primarily pine needles
All the leafy ones are further down and/or other side

Except in my yard cuz if all the pines. Several are dying of old age so I do need to replace them though

The pines? Not good firewood in general, it needs to season for many years and even then better to not use it inside

I did not know that about pine. I thought (assumed) most firewood was pine.

Is that because of sap?

Oh, does apple wood smell good to burn? I have heard of people Barbequing using apple wood.

I know Oak burns long. What wood do you usually get for firewood?

I don't really have a sense of smell so I'm not the one to ask. Wood chips v coal v other grilling things do have an effect on the flavor of the food. Same as smoking
