We get a solar eclipse April 8th

Oh nice you get to be part of the eclipse! I attached a link in my space thread that shows the map of the total eclipse. Everyone else along the margins gets a partial eclipse ... I won't get anything on the west coast.

The lunar eclipse already happened last Sunday night with the full moon.

We're getting the eclipse here. My friend says she heard that people will be coming in from out of town to view it, so there's anticipation that the city is gonna be busy. Her job cancelled work for the day because of it, yet I'm sure I'll still have to work. D';

That is cool Arc! Hopefully you will be able to go outside during the eclipse time or look out the window.

I've never been in a spot for the total eclipse but partial it still did darken outside to like twilight. One time with the solar eclipse it was cloudy out but the clouds parted just a bit, and enough to protect the cameras lens, to be able to take a picture.

I hear there are going to be some "solar" themed food, cookies etc that you can buy.

Sonic has a black out eclipse themed slushie drink and it comes with free glasses.... I saw a thing online that goes over your phone to take eclipse pictures safely it's basically "phone glasses"

I just realized we need black out glasses on here or at least some black sunglasses and I can "pretend" they are solar proof
