Hot today! Power went out at work & we don't have very good emergency lightening (just over the exits).

Thankfully was only off for an hour.

Otherwise a beautiful evening!

We were busy at work today ... maybe everyone making up for the power outage yesterday? Not sure, & I didn't ask. Just hate when I get a line up of people waiting.

Pix, your store had a power outage at night? I've only been in a store during a power outage during daylight hours and it was strange.

Hopefully there was/is some kind of back up or emergency lighting as that is required by law.

I try to know where flashlights are in our office just in case, especially as the emergency lighting doesn't work in the bathrooms!

There was just a few dim lights in the front so we stayed around there for awhile before going to frozen and dairy to move things into carts (I don't rember why, I know it was because the freezers were off but I don't rember what the plan was)

We mostly used our phone flashlights

If the freezers are off for too long is it icecream party time?

Having our phones near by is discouraged for us but I guess that is a good go to if the power goes out!

I think most stores try to have a back up generator for frozen products. But soft ice cream is my favorite!

When power is not available our perspective sure changes. I think about what people did before electricity.

That makes sense
Indeed!
Ikr, I guess they used candles for lighting but what about keeping things cold?

Cold cellars & if it was winter they could use snow to keep things cold.
