Freezing cake slices works good, heat it up in the microwave & add some ice cream, sweet sauce or whipped cream!

I know ice cream cakes exist, but I didn't know you could freeze other cakes

yup. they defrost pretty quickly too.

The bakery dept. in some of our grocery stores freeze whole cakes to help with preserving them longer.

People freeze fruit cake and never eat it (guess they don't want to throw it out until they have to?).

I had a friend who had a piece of wedding cake in the freezer for many years. Probably similar idea? idek

Wedding fruit cake tradition is to save a piece of the cake in the freezer & eat it on the one year anniversary.

Many traditional fruit cakes contained alcohol, maybe that helped preserve them?
(And maybe why more people were inclined to eat them with all the alcohol laden dried fruit in them??)

I actually like most fruit cakes... there are a few hard dried fruits I do not like. My fave is the cherry white fruit cake.

I bought a yellow watermelon and it doesn't have many seeds ... but if it had seeds I could try to grow my own.

Not everywhere sells the golden watermelon... but definitely is a sweeter flavor.

outside looks like a regular watermelon ..; its the inside that is yellow!

Wow! Imagine one day buying a watermelon, thinking it's normal, and then cutting it open and it's yellow inside!
