I was looking up how to make some DIY pine cone ornaments.

but <ewwww>. they recommend treating them to a vinegar bath & then low bake to get rid of bugs ( yuck!)

Almost makes me NOT want to make my own.

There are always hobby or craft stores... like Michaels... to buy prepared ones, I don't think they are that expensive.

As much as using items from nature sounds creative I am NOT a bug person.

I don't want any "surprises" invading my house!!!

ya, at least not intentionally ... I read somewhere there is a certain percentage of bugs allowed in products.
