So I got a flu shot at my wellness exam and that really did me in. Still need to take it easy but wanted to be here for the last day of the event.

Speedy recovery!

I used to get sick for at least one day each and everytime I got a flu shot. A dear one asked me why I keep getting the shot when I knew I would be sick each and every time when my chances of catching the flu is less than 100% and I've even caught it when I did get the shot. That really made me question my choices. Anyway, I stopped getting them and never caught the flu since. Well, it works for me. Maybe I'm lucky, but I don't really know anyone or have personally seen anyone that has caurght the flu most years...

Thanks!

I got talked into getting the flu shot. Eagle had somewhere to be afterwards but then he said it only takes 30 seconds so that excuse didn't work.

I usually don't get it but figured I would since I'm visiting my friend on thanksgiving(she just had a baby) and then plan on visiting my family for Christmas.

I told Eagle (when the nurse was out of the room) that when being called back, my left arm started hurting and I felt dizzy when I had stood up.

I dunno, felt like I only had a minute to think about it. After turning down the flu shot so many times I caved.

---brain fog is hitting me hard going to call it a night (guess I wouldn't of been able to really participate much today if the event did end tonight lol )

*nods* I got them growing up
btw I like the hair and eye combo you have, looks really nice together^^

So our senior pup had his dental surgery today. Just got a call back saying it went well, he handled the anesthesia very well(his vitals were stable throughout). He's in recovery and the vet wants him to stay for a couple hours longer for fluids.
He did get 6 major teeth pulled and Eagle had already told me about him needing to have wet food only for 2 weeks if he had a lot removed.

I'm really glad we did this for him. Eagle's mom tried talking him out of getting it done but both him and I knew that he needed it.

Some people don't react badly to flu shots. Unfortunately I do. Now that I think about it, while I had the flu a few times, I've only caught it once without the shot in Jr. HS... Can't explain it, but have not had the flu once since I stopped getting them every year. Probably just lucky and I know I will catch it again, but I figure I went years without getting sick right after the shot so I'm OK with it.

Awe.. sorry about your pup and glad he's doing well. I didn't realize there is such thing as doggie dental, but of course there is!

How are you feeling today?

He's already more himself today. Yesterday we really had to monitor him cause he kept getting up and waddling over. Took quite a while, and lots of pets, for him to relax enough to rest.

I'm very worn out but have to go to another appointment today.

You keep a drawing pad by your bed? Great idea!

Sorry puppy is not well. Pets can get viruses as well. Hopefully he's better soon.

Actually had to grab it from the other room ^^
It would be nice to get another smaller sketchpad so I could keep it with me.

oh Bobby is just recovering from his dental surgery. He's was doing better the day after although I think he needs to go an shorter walks. Yesterday he had trouble going back upstairs(to nap after his breakfast) and took and hour or so until he could climb up. Glad he didn't fall at all, just had sat at the landing unable to progress. Very similar to how I have trouble going up to bed at night ^^;

Recovery can be slow--just like us when we get older everything take longer. Sounds like progess is being made, so it's all going in the right direction. It'll just take time.
