Hello JinMay !
Always a pleasure for you to check in with our little community family!

How are things going?

How is the new job? Are you over the probationary period by now??

It must feel good to start to save money now ( although with the costs of goods, rent, insurance, car etc, etc that often is not as much as I would like each month!).

Lemon! Always nice to catch up, or try to. I'm sorry I haven't been around. I've just been real busy with work and other things. Not to mention I'm always mentally exhausted after work.

I'm now live! I've been live for a little while now actually and I've made three sales. It isn't much but it's a start. I'm still learning new things but for the most part I know what to do? I don't ask questions for every little thing now, only if I'm a little unsure or just want to make sure that my hunch is right.

I'm going to keep saving up since these past few days I did end up spending quite a bit at the festival that happens every year in February here. It's only around for 10 days so I ended up going three separate days and bought a few things which I'm very happy with but I know it definitely set me back.

I pay 200 a month to my parents to help them out. It's not much but I don't mind helping out when I can. I also help with gas and groceries from time to time. So yeah, I don't go out spending on myself as often as I used to. It's okay though, it's better that way. haha.

It's nice to see you too npixelz! Cute avatar! :)
Ooh a laptop? Well that's a good investment so I understand wanting one and yeah I could see how that would set you back. But it's okay, I hope you get many years of use out of it!

Do you have a lot of streaming services?
I'm not sure if we have any. I think we have Hulu? I can't remember though or if we cancelled it.

Thankfully you can still live at home, which helps you save money & help your parents out at the same time.

Rent over here is SO expensive never mind adding utilities & all the other costs ... especially if a person wants to eat!
And with roommates, who knows what you will get yourself into. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. Costs are so sad really... a person feels like they can barely get ahead ... and then there are the income taxes at the end of the year.

Oof yeah, roommates definitely make the situation a bit tougher. If you get good ones who are responsible and chip in for the rent then it works out but sometimes they aren't so helpful. D:

It's so expensive to just make it through the day. You feel like you're just keeping your head above water. It's incredibly ridiculous and unfair.

Well, things get better. eventually so hang in there. Just find ways to reduce your outgoing costs & put a little aside. Sometimes it means sacrifice from one thing to get another but I guess that builds character, right?

I am just thankful I do have a regular paycheck coming in. I'd hate to depend on commissions or only working sporadically. I am better at working for somebody not having my own business or trying to come up with some creative product to sell, so no chance of making lots of money!

I like having a steady income too. It does take some weight off the shoulders. I'm doing my best at not spending so much like I used to and it's been successful honestly. I think it helps not having a big room so I can't exactly buy a lot of things. Hahah

Something I want to buy is a new oven for my mom and then eventually, a new bed for myself. Something smaller since it's just me and I still have my childhood bunk bed which takes up a lot of room and makes my room feel cramped.

JinMay,
check out sales in time for Mother's day for stoves & ovens & such.
I have a toaster oven that works really good for baking small portions & it doesn't take up much room. I use it more often then my actual oven!

Bunk beds are great! You can sleep on the upper bunk & use the lower area for storage or putting a desk or book case or dresser or love seat or you can sleep on the lower bunk & use the upper platform for storing stuff or making a lounge area for reading or working on a lap top. Put it against one or two walls for support. It's like having added space! or store all the plushies on it!!

Thanks! It's my take on the male protagonist of the upcoming Pokemon ZA game!
Yeah, my old laptop has no space so I couldn't play games on it, and recently they keyboard has been acting up, so my mom said we could get a gaming laptop. Here's hoping!
We have Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime, Crave, and a few others I can't rember

That does sound unfair. Why can't we just be rich? Why did the universe bless me with good looks instead of blessing me with millions of dollars? Jkjk, but yeah, it can be tough

I have something similar, I want more plushies but I have no more space... yet

I have plushies in those huge ziploc bags to help keep the dust off them.

They are like stamps, so fun to look at.

I'm (hopefully) going to a small comic convention in my home town and perhaps will be getting a new plushie soon!

Oh that sounds like fun!

Is the convention the same one you went to in the past?
