Random rant, sorry for trailing off conversation.

I was on Gaia, and I saw that someone was using bases of someone that I watch on dA. It's a pay to use base, but the rules stated that they can use it on whatever they want, the artist just needs to be credited for the lines/base.
I posted in their thread. "Hey, you need to credit the original artist/base user, it's her rules."

They quoted me back with "...I did."
I screenshot the post beforehand if she gave me problems, and I was like oh, I must have missed it because it's in small font. NOPE.
SHE EDITED IT IN. I just didn't want her to get into trouble, and she pretends like it was there all along. smh.
Next time I should just report or something.

Wow I hate when that happens. I have artwork that is from other people based on Avatars they give me but I always put their names under the piece on Photobucket. If I do plan on using it I post who made it like I have in my siggy with the cute Cheebs you made me Yura!

I agree! The only way you'll learn is to make your own style. Sure, it's fun to use other people's bases sometimes, but you won't develop your own unless you work on it. It's a long and difficult path, but it's worth it down the road. /nodnod

I'm glad I took screenshots of the whole thing, just to prove myself that I wasn't crazy. I don't think the commissioner knew that they were using a base though. They made it look neat enough with the items that they used. /shrugs.
Awwwh, thanks! I like when people credit me for my art. ||OTL. I used to put my name on the side of every piece (helps since I have the same username on basically every site), but I can't be bothered to do that anymore.

I know how you feel Yura there were times I didn't want to do my name on artwork but if I do ever open a shop here I will. Also your right about finding a base style of your own. I tried out so many similar styles from what I have seen and it wasn't getting the way I wanted it to. Then I made a Plushie version of my avatar just for me on Zatarni and people wanted them so bad I opened a shop. Now I have a unique style all my own it's not perfect but it works.
