Oh ... air fry ... I have never tried fries air fried before ... I am intrigued! They come out crunchy ?

If you have one that actually blows air (some don't, or does it really softly), absolutely. It dries off the potatoes before they have a chance to get soggy. But if you pat your fries down after frying them in oil, you get the same effect. Oil doesn't evaporate, though, so it's easier to do an air fryer if you want them crispy.

My friend has an air fryer, I will ask her to cook me some french fries sometime!

Remember, freezing them first is the key! Then straight in the fryer without thawing! That's how you get them cooked and crispy without burning them.
