Christmas stuff already!? No! No way! That is silly!
I'm also reading multiple books!

Too busy to read but always find time for a show for some reason. Maybe because I can just sit & be entertained rather than getting eye strain, lol. I used to love to read.
I watched season one of Sherlock & daughter which was kind of cute although kind of sad to see how much the character had been forced to harden because of what had & was happening to her.
New season of citadel, which I like the spy shows.
But sometimes I just want to watch a light hearted, feel good show.
i had stress at work, lets see how this week goes.

Lemon Cheesecake wrote:Shamus, its difficult for kids to see their parent suffering & I would think it brings some anxiety - because the Parent is supposed to be taking care of them, right? But it sounds like you have your kids looking out for each other & giving them household chores, bring you a drink, gives them a way to feel like they are being supportive during this difficult time in all your lives.
I didn't realize the radiation therapy makes you radioactive until my Sister did treatments for cancer & she said she had to limit contact & have her own bathroom etc from her husband & kids. Gnarly stuff.
The throat cancer treatments I was told by a friend are like an extremely painful tonsilitis. He could hardly talk at all & for awhile carried around a mini white board to write down what he wanted to say. I think for awhile he had the machine you hold to your voice box so you can speak or he would type it on the phone & have it speak out for him. With voice therapy he has been regaining his voice & has been "cancer free" for 2 years now I think. Hopefully you won't have to struggle with your voice quite so much but there are options & there is hope for recovery if you do. You won't be able to yell at the kids - maybe get a dollar store hand bell to ring to get their attention! (Or a blow horn if they are squabbling, that's a joke).
Sending good thoughts your way for a speedy recovery.
