I’m not looking to travel, but I’m gonna probably go to the courthouse and get a new picture. I mean I probably need a new picture because I was 21 in my picture haha. But I know the eye doctor can do the refund thing since they don’t accept insurance but imma try to find a different eye doctor that takes insurance. It’s like 200 dollars for an exam. It’s ridiculous

Costco eye exam is less then $100 cash patient (less if you don't do the retina eye exam where they take a picture of your eye ball) and you don't have to be a member to go to it.

Not sure if they take insurance since I have none. Zinni eye optical online you can order glasses for super cheap (like $25) & there are a ton of styles you can choose from.

I shop at Zenni too (no affiliation with them). Sign up for their emails as they have sales a few times a year. Zenni also has a cool app too so you can virtually try on styles to see how they'll look on you. It works well--kind of like Windlyn/avatar sites for your face!

I wonder why Doctor's don't accept all insurances?

I have no clue. It should be universal everywhere. It’s kinda sad. Thinking everyone should spend all their money on their services then wonder why they haven’t taken care of their health problems.

People should get rewarded if they are proactive in being preventative ... like cash back.

I hate having to pay monthly insurance premiums AND co-payments for my medical visits... some countries have better medical coverage then others.... even as a cash patient Japan seems to charge much less then what the US does.

The problem is multifaceted: It's the insurance companies profiting most and not directly providing health care at the top of the list.

I always wonder why every Country's medical coverage is a little different? What happened to the day when you could pay your Doctor or Dentist in eggs or produce?
