Haha but for me coffee goes with dessert so it needs to be sweet. Otherwise I don't like it.

Well sweets are sweet so bitter coffee makes for a good contrast that makes the taste of the sweet stand out more.

I find that it makes the sweets stand out less and tarnishes them but that is just me.

Nope I brew it as per instructions but find that without sugar then it just tastes wrong.
