I thought about making a sign wishing him a happy birthday in Serbian and holding it up in a nice outfit and makeup. He might appreciate that. I met him online about a year ago and he is delightful.

I would like to meet him one day, but it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon. I've met 3 people from online in person, and 2 of those turned out to be good people.

Nope. I have one Serbian friend who could translate, but I don't think it is a good time to ask him right now. I guess I'll use google translate but that isn't always accurate. Maybe yahoo answers.
