I let Elvis turtle go, he sat in the boat for a little while then "Elvis has left the building" (I'm Lisa Marie so we named him Elvis)
I caught him on my fishing pole he swallowed my hook, my dad had to get the hook out

I can't wrap my head around the fact where you live turtles are actually in the wild (I know from documentaries there can be hoards of them but I have never seen a wild turtle where I live). Do you have beaches by you where they lay their eggs or are these turtles ones that have wandered up?

That's the lake by my dad's house. I'm in Texas. Turtles are just wild at our lakes Idk if people set pets free in the wild or what but the lake has a bunch. I'd never set mine free they came from pet stores so mine wouldn't know how to live in the wild.

The 25lb one wrapped around all the other lines because we had several poles in the water because we had other people in our boat so he had to be chased around the boat and untangle the lines .... the 35lb one was easier he jumped in the boat but he swallowed my hook so my dad had to stick his hand down into it to get the hook and the fish bit him

Some idiots probably flushed their turtles down the toilet when they got tired of them--that's how they say the alligators in the sewers of NYC got there!

I've seen turtles in rivers while canoeing. It was always a fun sight. I also saw some in a pond while hiking.

That's cute naming it Elvis, rip about swallowing a hook, though

Wow! I want to see turtles in the wild! I would've thought Canada was too cold for turtles ... can turtles handle cold temperatures? I always thought they were a native to the tropics... I know so little about turtles!

I assume they hibernate or something I'm the winter, or migrate like geese do. Also Ontario isn't as North as a lot of other provinces, so that might help

Hey guys I'm doing well and my turtles are doing well and Cheech, Chonga, and Dave now have a new brother a little land box turtle everyone meet Elvis
He has red eyes I can't get a good pic right now lol

This one is a a different Elvis, the water one I caught fishing I let go, this one's a land box turtle and my neice found him a few weeks ago at their deer lease and he is a tiny baby and he is a wild one but he wasn't doing too well and he didn't have any family around and was dehydrated and stuff but she took him home and has had him a few weeks now but with school and stuff my 12 yr old neice really doesn't have the time needed to properly care for him they were going to let him go back where he came from but I'm like if he was dehydrated and stuff living on his own I didn't want to see him just go back to the wild like that so I adopted him and my dad loves Elvis (I'm Lisa Marie) like Elvis's daughter and since I got the turtle from my dad and neice (he's raising my neice) it was either name him Elvis or Spongebob lol #5 might be Spongebob
