Yeah, some people died in the show that were not dead in the comics and vice versa. Daryl and his brother were not even in the comics to begin with.

I like that the comics and the show have their differences.

I like that too! That way those who read the comics cannot spoil the show for others too much because they are different tangents.

you know, that reasoning is very interesting, I never thought of it in that light but it makes sense - I suppose the only draw back would be for those who want movies/shows to follow the storyline of their devoted books

Comics have a bit more lea way in my opinion. I would want movies made from books to follow the book to the letter. That is why my husband and I are so mad with the way they made the Eragon movie. So many errors with that one. T_T

uuuuuugh the eragon movie
the only good thing about that movie is that it sucked so much that they never ruined the rest of the series

Yep. I would love someone else to remake and direct it if they follow it correctly.

That's one movie I don't plan on ever seeing because no one has anything good to say about it.

Oh my gosh, I was sooo disappointed with the Eragon movie - it's been awhile but if I recall they combined some of the 2nd book and not only missed quite a few important details from the first but changed the story. I had looked forward to the movie, went to see it in the theater and was watching it thinking...ah that's not how its supposed to be, I don't remember that in the book... hmmm maybe I should read the series again.

Why bother making a movie based off a book if you're not going to follow the source materiel?

right! They should have called it something else and not connected it to the book - although don't know if that would be considered plagiarism... I guess that could they have said it was "loosely" based on the book.

It's like they don't want to have to come up with their own materiel but can't help tweaking someone else's idea.

no one seems to come up with anything original anymore for movies. They like to remake shows and not do well at it. Most of it is sensationalism and no story
