In my spring semester last year my English professor was like very sarcastic and intimidating. I'd take that professor than this one, lol.

FWIW, like everyone, I've had to deal/work with people are intimidating/inept/mean/fill in the blank. What I've done is tried to get to know them a little just by talking to them. I've found that in 98% of the time, they're not as bad as I first thought. You might not want to be best friends with them in the end, but it usually results in raising the courtesy level (for lack of a better word) to be bearable. I know it can be really scarey, but all I can add is it really doesn't take much and humor helps tremendously.

galled: I'm not going to try to befriend him. I have very little left in this college, and I won't have to deal with him again. My priority is passing the class with a good grade. And I will do just that.

Lemon Cheesecake: the birthday went well. My family members just gathered together and cooked food. Nothing especially exciting but it was nice to see everyone.

This weekend I met my best friend's new roommate. He walked in completely drunk, opened the lid of the fish tank, and vomited right into it.

Wow, that sounds like something out of a movie like ANIMAL HOUSE. Were there any fish in there?

Not anymore.

I've never seen Animal House. But I know there is a toga party scene. I want to throw a toga party. It's what I'm planning for my next (21st) birthday.

If you mean there were fish in there that's terrible! Vomit is pretty acidic from stomach acid and the alcohol... what a horrific way to go!

I just meant ANIMAL HOUSE-type movies in general where being overly drunk leads to ridiculous behavior.

A toga party, birthday, or any other reason to get together with people you like to have fun is good stuff!
Well, you have a year to plan for it. Happy Belated Birthday!

Yeah, they probably didn't have much longer to live anyway.

Also, if you cannot pet it, it is not a pet

Thanks for the belated birthday wish. The toga party will have an Ancient Greece theme. And wine. A lot of wine.

You can totally pet a fish! It's not a normal or common thing to do, but you can totally pet a fish! The only way you can't pet it is if it's not there. :P

I don't know how much pleasure I would obtain from petting a fish.

Then again, my friend plays with his scorpions. So I'm not sure.

And how do they feel? I love touching my cat. He's soft and warm. But a fish?

Also, "dog food lid" is "dildo of god" backwards.

Not to be a wise-ass, but technically most petting zoo aquariums are stocked with crustaceans, mollusks (star fish, etc.) and if you're really lucky, mammals (dolphins, whales). I don't think you get to pet "fish," well, at least I can't recall of any I've seen. A manta perhaps, but I'd have to look up to what it is, but it might be a fish.

I just don't think fish are entertaining. Yeah, you can look at them for a while but that gets old really fast.
