When I lived in Wisconsin, everything frequently shut down due to ice for safety.

Yes it does and here it looks like fall finally hit. It's going to be 40 all next week

40 is chilly! Our fall is 70.

YES we live relatively close to the Gulf. Hurricanes are sometimes an issue.

And then in the winter, it’s dry.

I live in missouri and mines humid, so yours I think would be the worst!

In late August, there was a day the heat index was 107.

The weathers weird here! I was in the city that had a tornado but my home wasnt in the area, thankfully! It's still being fixed

We had tornadoes in Wisconsin. I remember huddling in the basement a lot. Then we moved here and no basement!

No we live in a concrete slab! Most have a basement!
