I would never get rid of my coffee Keurig it's my baby! It cost me a lot of money for it a few days ago and destroying it to get some contraption that brews a pot that puts more grinds then coffee in it would be a let down. I had a regular coffee pot machine and I got so many grinds in my coffee it was ridiculous.
I alvvays use multiple filters just to make sure there's no grounds getting in my coffee, it vvorks fine for me. the filters are the issue not the coffee maker itself. They are so thin that the vvater soaks through too much and the coffee grounds seep out.
Yes they have even longer. I had my first cup of coffee out of a similar machine and then had a pot of coffee normally. I enjoy the single cup better. I was 20 when I had my first cup of coffee
