I had a journalism Teacher in high school that said the Bible was a major source for writing inspiration, if you think about it...it has betrayal, murder, suspense, action, and some great love stories to name a few themes. Some of the old testament stories actually creep me out with the debauchery and cruelty and could be a horror story in my opinion. I much prefer to read the new testament - the book of revelations excluded because that can be frightening- it contains betrayal and murder but leaves out the other tangled stuff I find disturbing about human character and offers a source of hope and is a resource for applicable actions we can take even for today's situations.
But unfortunately I am not a good resource where you can find what in the bible. Thankfully there is a concordance at our finger tips though! TG for search engines!
Acts 1:3 in the bible says Jesus preached for 40 days after his resurrection until His ascension- here is something interesting to explain the significance:

- Resurrection Morning occurred on the Feast of First Fruits. Pentecost was seven weeks later. That’s why it’s sometimes called the Feast of Weeks. The actual dates of both were established by counting from the first Sabbath after Passover. First Fruits was the first day after the Sabbath and Pentecost was the 50th day, so there were only 49 days between First Fruits and Pentecost.
Acts 1:3 says that Jesus ascended into Heaven 40 days after His resurrection. That means Pentecost was 9 days later, not 10. In Scripture, the number 9 often marks the end, or conclusion of a matter. The arrival of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost marked the end of the Lord’s personal ministry on Earth.
