Ya, I complain about hours too but the pay checks are nice and sometimes I think ...what would I be doing anyway?

Yeah, out of these past two weeks, I've given up 3 of my off days to come in. I've only called in once because I was sick. Like, I was perfectly fine when I woke up and later that afternoon I got sick before I had to go in and all that "I'm pretty sure my manager saw me eating there and looking perfectly fine. He's going to find it fishy that I was there looking fine and then calling in sick" but I was really sick, like throwing up sick. I slept the rest of the day from 7pm til the next morning. And I'm asking for a day off for a religious duty sort of thing I really don't want to miss. It's not like I ask off all the time and I do come in when called in, it would be kind of a reward to allow me that one day off. Like, if I ever called off again, it would be because I'm too sick to go to work.

I am sorry you got sick! I wonder if it was a food allergy? Some foods make me literally throw up sick too.
