I was curious because the only thing I connect Belgium with is Chocolate (of course!) and then I searched it and now I recall that you were like at the hub of the World Wars!! What a history that is!
"Belgium, a country in Western Europe, is known for medieval towns, Renaissance architecture and as headquarters of the European Union and NATO. The country has distinctive regions including Dutch-speaking Flanders to the north, French-speaking Wallonia to the south and a German-speaking community to the east. The bilingual capital, Brussels, has ornate guildhalls at Grand-Place and elegant art-nouveau buildings
What Canadian didn't know the Poem "In Flanders Fields" (in Flanders fields the poppies grow, between the crosses row on row...)
I know it was a century ago now for the first world war, but have you seen any residual affects from such a violent history? Do people still find war artifacts?
