im kinda freaking out because the design final is due in a week but the teacher gave us so much vcreative freedom that im stuck on ideas

what kind od design? Some of the Windlyn members are very creative and might be able to give you some ideas to help finalize what you want.

literally anything >_> the prof told us it can be anything we want as long as its polished, including animation, comic, character design, film etc. im so indecisive aaa

Since you are creative with the Windlyn avatar items are you allowed to do designs for avatars? Make the avatar a comic strip, they are fun to make a story about...

You draw for avatar clothes how about making the avatar clothes real people's? Would you have to sew the actual design? Patterns are really not all that difficult. Did you take any fashion design classes? Or is that a different design medium you are talking about?

hmmm on one hand i want to push my limits and on the other i want to pass haha
was thinking pf either character design of illustration and i can turn that into a set of windlyn items later
(can't do it for the assignment though because the product must be 100% original

the design class is a foundation course so it's very abstract and applies to everything so there's no focus
also i dont take fashion design but the hong kong campus is pretty well known for it! i see a lot of mannequins on a daily basis lol

Sounds like you kind of know what you might want to do, so what will give you the push into stretching yourself? Do you get extra points if the project shows more challenge?

Personally, If I am going to invest my time into a project I want to be able to get multi use out of it and be able to use it later.

me too! its hard to come up with something without being overly ambitious otherwise
im not sure if the prof grants extra points, they"re grading based on the use of design principles so probably not

good idea, in that case im leaning towards character design ^^ it'll be a fun addition to windlyn and my portfolio

Was there a concept/principle you really liked? Could you create a comic or animation that illustrates or explains it? It could meet the requirements for the project and reinforce the fact you learned something over the semester in a subtle way.

I just talked to the professor and he approved of the character design idea
tldr it's a valkyrie devil and an angel but i haven't decided, probably farmer or rogue
some others are doing animation but we all know they're going to suffer since everything's due next wednesday
