Hey Vivianne !

We missed you! How are you?

Yep Roombas are more droid vacuums than a maid. :(

Honda's Assimo is getting close, but I think it's still pretty far off.

I've been fascinated with robo surgeons, but they're more remote controlled rather than autonomous machines capable of doing a job although i seem to recall an eyesight correction machine does its job with just a push of a button.

galled - I’m great! Just got swept up in holiday and family bonding stuff.

I remember reading something by Atul Gawande about computers being trained to read electrocardiographs. I can’t remember the results, but if a robot were to ‘practice’ medicine, similar legal issues to self driving cars could result. Who would train them? Where would they be allowed to practice? If something goes wrong, who is liable? Also, in the case of medicine, there is so much variation in diseases, technique, and outcome. Basic knowledge is fairly thin for NF2, for example, especially given that there is variation within the disease. I think robo surgeons are very far off.

I don't remember 2015 either.

Maybe.

Just wait until the robots are sentient enough to destroy us.

Shiro - so basically the lesson here is that screaming finishes and/or reduces reports.

Continuously scream at your computer as your report types itself out of fear!

Disney should write a song about screaming out colors.

I usually have a bedtime, but that’s been messed up by holiday chaos.

When I was a kid, that was one of the perks of the holidays--a more flexible bedtime! :)

Now I can barely keep my eyes open when it gets late. I suppose it was like that when I was a kid too, but I'd never admit it then! Haha :cheeky:
