-hugs Star- Are there any Food banks or church food pantries that can help you with getting food? There are several places around here that give out food for Thanksgiving. Our nearby foodbank gives out food every other Monday.

Nice.

Meanwhile I knew there were a sale on cupcakes so I asked for some. S.o. buys the ones not on sale in a larger quantity. . .

I'm going to go look today at what is out there. With Turkey's being so cheap I may just get the whole bird, I'll see how expensive just the breast is ( which would probably cook faster anyway?)

That's a nice size! Are you going to bake it? barbeque it or deep fry?

We are gonna bake it. Maybe one year we will try deep frying it, but not yet.

My step-dad wanted a lot left over. Though there will be 8 people here on Thanksgiving.

You have to be careful deep-frying anything don't you?

So we are getting a pre-cooked turkey. My s.o. is going grocery shopping now and getting the turkey on Friday, that day before we need it.

The pre made ones can be good too! Still end up baking it though - just not as long! Or I guess you can cut off what you need and eat as you go?
